I Wonder Why

The thoughts in my head
overwhelming the feeling in my heart
the way I am for you
words could never start
laying awake at night staring at the ceiling
wondering deep down
are you feeling what I’m feeling
I can’t begin to imagine
how I ended up this way
I just keep on replaying that day
and what I said or didn’t say
to make things turn out this way
what must I do
what must I say
How did I end up like this
I can’t begin to imagine
or even explain
but our worlds became connected
and its something I can’t let go
even though it seems so easy to just
tell you no
but my heart won’t let me
